Me
! (the ego page)

This is
where you will find me every fall. I
spend many yours picking just the right grain to use from just the
right field. Having good straw to work with is crucial..
 My favorite natural fiber.
This is the booth at the Wintergreen Craft
Event in Regina last year. I like to attend
large juried craft shows. There are always interesting people to
meet
Click on the little
picture of my workshop. This
is an original graphite sketch, of the house that turned into a studio in
1991.
Unless you have family there you may not know where Mossbank is, so I will add a little help. Once you have been there we
know you will be back again. Montana to the south, Alberta to the west. South of Moose Jaw, just off hwy #2.Besides a prearranged (I hope) visit to my wheat weaving studio on the main street, you will find tree lined quiet,
clean streets, several internationally known artists, crafters and writers, an undeveloped bird sanctuary, the site of a WWII air base, practice airspace of the world famous Snowbirds that fly out of 15 Wing Air base in Moose Jaw, the best sand green golf coarse in the province, many service clubs to welcome you, like the Royal Canadian Legion #11

This is Joy and Dan with the poodle in
the back yard. The willow chair is made by Marvin and Barb Herman, from Colonsay, Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan has many craftsmen in small towns.
I could never have done this without my parents!
Martin and Ella (Pantel) Silzer. I'm very proud of my parents. They are very busy and talented people.
Martin C. Silzer, WWII veteran, Representative of Assiniboia School Division #13 for many years, and very active in all forms of community service. Charter member of the Elks Club #__ and on and on. Now he works in his private fruit orchard and bakes the best pie in the world from the apples he grows.
Ella Linda (Pantel) Silzer, from whom I inherited any artistic talent I may have, creates treasures in fabric, from toys to quilts, tin craft, silhouette paintings, and cake decorating. She found time to care for flowers and the neighbors kids while she managed a hardware or ran the local post office.
